摘要
通过对海明威的短篇小说《在密执安北部》的文本细读,从词汇、句式、对话、视角表现等方面对作品进行分析研究,说明海明威在写作时所遵循的"冰山理论"在本短篇小说中得到完美体现。在这篇作品中,作者用简洁的词汇和句式,简短精致的对话,变换多姿的视角表现完美地诠释了"少即是多"的"冰山理论"精髓。
＂Iceberg Theory＂, one of the important writing theories advocated and well developed by Ernest Hemingway, is best demonstrated in his short stories, including one of his best ones, Up in Michigan. In this article, the author gives a vivid and detailed account of the writing style of this story by analyzing Hemingway＇ s skillful use of diction, sentence pattern, dialogue and point of view expressed in this story.
