开明函授学校是民国时期上海招生人数最多的私立函授学校。虽然它在成立一年半时的鼎盛时期突然关闭,但它先进的教育理念、人性化的办学举措和注重诚信的办学作风为私立学校树立了榜样,对当代教育具有一定的借鉴意义。

The Kaiming Correspondence School was a private school with the most enrolment in Shanghai during the period of the Republic of China. Though it was closed when it was prosperous, the school,with its advanced education ideas,human measures and honest and trustworthy style in running school, still sets a good example for private schools and is also of great significance and help to modern education.
