Through construction of Three Gorges project, great attention has been paid to the plan of ecological conservation and environmental protection. This plan is implemented stage by stage on schedule under the collaborated efforts of all the circles in China, and staged achievements are obtained. The ecological and environmental benefits of this huge project have gradually emerged since the cofferdam impoundment. The related departments are continuing their efforts to implement the plan of ecological and environmental protection.
