电弧作为气体放电的一种形式,在工业中既有有利的一面,也有危害的一面。本文就高压开关触头间电弧的产生机制及电弧熄灭的方式进行了总结与分析,以使人们对电弧的危害有更加清楚的认识,为今后预防电力开关电弧故障提供参考。

Arc is a kind of gas discharge, which is not only favourable but also un- favourable in the industry. The mechanism of arc ignition and extinguishing between contact materials of high voltage switch was overviewed in this paper. The arc hazard is understod clearly. The method to prevent the arc failure in power circuit breaker can be improved in the future.
