Summary on Study of Nature Reserve Management in China

自然保护区限制了周边社区居民的资源利用,社区的社会经济发展也必然会给保护区造成影响.实现与周边社区的协调发展是自然保护区管理的重要内容.通过强化对保护区的公共投资、实施生态补偿措施、提倡社区参与和共管模式、合理开展生态旅游等管理创新策略,可以将两者的冲突转化为合作,实现自然保护区可持续发展.

Nature reserves restrain habitants in adjacent communities to utilize resources; social ＆ economic development of the communities has impact on the reserves conversely. Thus coordinated development with adjacent communities is significant content for nature reserves＇ management. Some innovative strategies including public support for reserves, implementation of ecological compensation, co-management and rational ecotourism will transform conflicts between communities and reserves into cooperation to realize sustainable development for reserves.
