Investigation on the behavior of MSM in Taiyuan city

目的了解太原市男男性接触者(MSM)艾滋病(AIDS)相关情况及高危性行为状况,为本地行为干预和采取预防措施提供依据。方法通过发放匿名调查问卷,对太原市MSM人群进行调查。结果本次调查对象年龄30岁以下较为集中,79.6%为高中及以上文化程度,职业分布广泛。首次性行为年龄中位数为18岁。性行为方式多样,安全套使用率低,多性伴,与偶遇性伴和异性发生性行为的高危行为普遍。结论太原市部分MSM性行为相当活跃,HIV在该人群中高水平流行可能性大,而且流行还可能蔓延到普通人群。

Objective To investigate the current state of high-risk sexual behaviors among local man who has sex with man （ MSM ） in Taiyuan, and to provide a basis for AIDS prevention and control. Methods The knowledge,attitude, behavior and practice of MSM in Taiyuan were surveyed using anonymous questionnaire. Results The subjects in this investigation were mainly below 30 years old. Of them,79.6% finished the high school education or above. The occupations of subjects were widespread. The median age of the first sexual activity was 18 years old. The high risk behaviors, such as different sexual actions, lower rate of using condoms, multiple sexual partners and having sexual actions with accidental sexual partners and opposite sex, were common in the investigated subjects. Conclusion The sexual actions are active in MSM in Taiyuan,and the prevalence possibility of HIV in this population is high and the HIV prevalence may spread to the common population.
