Transplantation cannot be considered the most important therapeutic procedure for hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）. In France, no more than 2% of patients with HCC undergo a transplantation. Randomized conb＇olled trial must assess the benefit to risk ratio of various potentially ＂curative＂ treatment procedures （transplantation, resection, radiofrequency ablation）.
