The 51st American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition was held in Ernest N. Morial Convention Center,New Orleans,LA during December 5th and 8th,2009. The highlights included:chronic myeloid leukemia:after a decade of imatinib;in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia(AML) ,several new compounds with activity against FLT3 mutations are piquing the interest of researchers;the representatives from Shanghai Ruijin Hospital presented Arsenic Binding to RBCC Domain Modulates Oncogenic PML-RARa and Wild-Type PML as a Key Molecular Mechanism of Arsenic Trioxide Treatment for APL.
