From 1937 to 1945, Japan occupied Shanghai and cultivated puppet regimes in order to tighten up management. During this period, more and more researchers had interest in historical anecdotes. These historical anecdotes paper in Occupied Shanghai have common characteristics in content and show the value in history research. From the analyzing, we find the author of these historical anecdotes paper are not willing to ingratiate itself with puppet group, and also dare not resist against Japan openly. To some extent, the helpless school's flourish showed the complicated feelings of some researchers, and mirrored the sterner political rule of the Japanese puppet regime in Shanghai.
