摘要
概念隐喻理论认为,人类的概念系统在本质上是从源域到目标域的隐喻性投射。隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,而且是一种思维方式,是人类感知世界、形成概念的重要手段,因此,学好英语的关键在于培养学生的隐喻思维能力,即帮助学生建立起目的语的概念系统。本文结合教学实践,尝试性地探讨了概念隐喻对外语教学的启示以及在培养学生的隐喻性思维方面的一些做法。
The Theory of Conceptual Metaphor claims that our conceptual system is in nature the metaphorical mapping from source domain to target domain. Metaphor is not only a kind of linguistic phenomenon, but also a way of thinking, and a very important means of perceiving the world and forming the concepts as well. Therefore, the key to learning English well hies in cultivating students' metaphorical thinking ability, i.e. , helping them to establish the conceptual system of the target language. In combination with the practical teaching, this paper tentatively explores the implications of Conceptual Metaphor for FLT and some ways to develop students' metaphorical thinking.
