改进大学英语大班课堂教学

On Promoting Large-class Teaching in College English

摘要 目前我国大部分非英语专业的大学英语大都采用大班课堂教学的形式,它有自己的弊端,比如,人数太多,教师大多采用讲授式教学为主,学生参与机会少,交互练习的机会少,很难调动学生的积极性,激发学生的兴趣,教师难以对课堂秩序进行有效管理,无法根据学生的个性差异进行个性化教学,有些教学环节很难实施等。要克服这些弊端,提高大学英语课堂教学的效率,关键在于充分发挥学生的主体角色和充分体现教师的主导作用。 Large-class teaching, which has been common in non-major college English course in many Chinese colleges and universities, has certain drawbacks, such as the teacher-centered class as a result of the duck-feeding teaching method, students' lack of participation and interaction in class resulting in students' lack of interest in class, teachers' difficulty in efficiently controlling the class because of its large size, and so on .The solution lies in activating the students' role as the subject of study and the teacher's role as the guide.
