影子练习在大学英语听力教学中的作用

影子练习早在上世纪八十年代就已经运用于我的英语教学中,但是长期以来它的作用被人们低估了。同时,影子练习这一练习方式一直以来也只是局限于同声传译训练研究中。本文试图重新审视影子练习的作用,并且把影子跟读这一练习方式运用于一般的英语听力教学。本文给出了影子跟读的范例,强调了影子跟读在外语听力中的一些作用,并且提出了可操作的影子跟读训练方法。

Shadowing practice has been used in Chinese English teaching since 80s the last century, but its role has been underestimated. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of shadowing practice has been restricted in the field of simultaneous interpretation training. This article tries to reevaluate the role of shadowing and apply it into general English listening comprehension teaching. The article illustrates shadowing practice by giving an example, emphasizes some of its notable effects and suggests feasible ways to practice shadowing.
