摘要
指纹图像分割是自动指纹识别过程中重要的一步,其目的是从图像背景中分离出有用的指纹区域。灰度方差法是一种简单快速的指纹图像分割算法,本文给出一种自适应阈值的灰度方差分割法。实验表明,本文方法选取的分割阈值能够较好的分离出指纹图像的前景和背景,是一种有效的指纹图像分割算法。
Fingerprint segmentation is an important step of AFIS,its task is to isolate the fingerprint area from the image. The segmentation method of fingerprint image based on gray variance runs quickly and can be programmed easily. In this paper,an adaptive segmentation of fingerprint image based on gray variance is proposed. The experimental results show that the thresholds determined by this segmentation algorithm are more effective,they can isolate fingerprint area from the image.
