Zeng Shan and the Restoration,Development and Building of Party Organizations in Southeast China in the Early Days of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

抗战前期成立的中共中央东南局(前身称中共中央东南分局),是中国共产党为领导新四军的组建和东南地区党组织的恢复发展而成立的机构。曾山担任东南局副书记兼组织部长。他在领导东南地区党组织发展党员,加强对党员、干部的培养,指导地方党的工作等方面的思想和实践,使东南地区党的建设取得了长足的进步,为我们留下了宝贵的精神财富。

The Southeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee （ its predecessor was the Southeast Sub-bureau of the CPC Central Committee） set up in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was an organ established for leading the formation of the New Fourth Army and for the restoration and development of Party organizations in Southeast China. Zeng Shan was appointed the deputy secretary of the Southeast Bureau and concurrendy the head of its Organizational Department. He led the Party organizations in Southeast China to expand their ranks and strengthen the training of the Party members and cadres, giving effective guidance to the work of local Party organizations and bringing about rapid progress in the building of the Party. His thought and practice left us valuable intellectual wealth.
