本报告以"公众盛赞科学,科学家责备公众和媒体"为题发表在皮尔研究中心①的网站(http://people-press.org)上,是皮尔研究中心与美国科促会合作进行的一项调查的报告。报告结果揭示了科学家团体和公众对发展优先科学领域、科学研究的阻碍、媒体和科学家共同体间的关系、公众对科学技术知识的理解以及科学家形象的看法等。调查数据对中国科学技术传播领域的同行和对科学传播感兴趣的人有帮助作用。

This report was released online （http：//people-press.org） with the title ＂Public Praises Science; Scientists Fault Public, Media＂ . The research survey was conducted by Pew Research Center collaborating with AAAS. The report reveals the results relating to both scientists and the public＇s opinions about the expending priority of sciences, the restrictions to scientific researches, the relations between the media and science community, the public understanding of scientific knowledge and the images of the scientists, etc. The data would be much helpful to the Chinese colleagues in science communication and those who are interested in this field.
