摘要
介绍了Intel最新推出的基于X86架构的消费类SoC芯片CE3100和Yahoo为传统电视增添全新网络应用特性的软件框架Widget Channel。在Intel提供的参考板上,构造平台硬件模块。软件底层采用Linux和开源Gstreamer媒体应用框架,上层包装Widget Channel出色的GUI和多种附加网络Widgets,实现在传统电视上的高清播放、网页浏览、网络游戏等。测试结果表明,此新概念的电视使用模式,将带来全新的视听享受,极具实际应用前景。
In this paper, the Intel newest powerful IA-based consumer electronic SoC chip CE3100 and Yahoo＂ s Widget Channel are introduced, and they allow TV viewers to enjoy rich Internet applications while watching their favorite programs.
