Research on Testing Evaluation on EPON System

本文首先分析了以太网无源光网络(EPON)系统在有线电视网络中的参考模型,根据该参考模型,研究了有线电视无源光网络测试系统组成及测试评估项目;根据确定的测试项目对国内外多个EPON厂家的设备在实验室环境下进行了系统功能、性能以及多业务承载能力的测试评估;最后对系统测试的结果进行了分析和总结。

As a preferred optical access method, EPON, with some technical advantages, is suitable for cable TV network structure, and has become a key technology in the field of broadcast and TV optical access network. Based on analysis of reference model of EPON system in cable TV network, this paper studies composition of cable TV EPON test system and test evaluation project, and tests equipments of EPON manufacturers at home and abroad under laboratory conditions. Based on analysis of test result, the paper also advances research direction of EPON technology’s application in cable TV network.
