自然之理与人伦之理的关系问题是哲学家面对的重要问题。王阳明认为心即理,心主要是一种内化于人而又具有普遍意义的至善的道德原则,而物主要是一种人伦之事,在道德实践当中,就是要实现心与物的贯通,通过道德践履来建构一种伦理关系。这样,其心物关系实际上就是如何处理一种作为涵摄自然之理的社会道德规范之心与具体的道德行为之间的关系的学说。

The relationship between the principle of the nature and social ethics is an important problem faced to philoso- phers. For Wang yang - ming, he thinks Xin is an intrinsic, meanwhile, universal ethical principle which is also a natu- ral principle, and Wu is ethical actions. In ethical practice, what we do is to establish an ethical relationship by con- neeting Xin and Wu. So Wang yang - ming~ thought of Xin and Wu is how to apply Xin that is as an ethical principle which embodies the principle of nature to particular ethical actions.
