小麂一新亚种——江口亚种(偶蹄目,鹿科)

MUNTIACUS REEVESI JIANGKOUENSIS——A NEW SUBSPECIES FROM GUIZHOU, CHINA (ARTIODACTYLA: CERVIDAE)

采自贵州梵净山地区（东经１０７°４３′～１０９°２３′；北纬２７°２０′～２８°３５′）的一种小麂，因其外形、量度、毛色及头骨等形态有一些特异之处，尤其在耳长、后足长、鼻骨长的量度与指名亚种（Ｍｕｎｔｉａｃｕｓｒｅｅｖｅｓｉｒｅｖｅｓｉ）存在明显差异。据此认为梵净山地区所产的小麂为一新亚种，定名为江口亚种（Ｍｕｎｔｉａｃｕｓｒｅｖｅｓｉｊｉａｎｇｋｏｕｅｎｓｉｓｓｕｂｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．）。

This paper reports a new subspecies of Muntiacus reevesi , Cervidae from Guizhou, China.We proposed to name it Muntiacus reevesi jiangkouensis subsp. nov. (figs.1～3). Holotype: No.0049, male mature, collected from Machaohe, Jiangkou County, Guizhou Province in April, 1975. Altitude: 900 m. Paratypes: No. 0041, 0032, 0047, male mature; No. 0045, 0044,0051, female mature. All collected from Kaima, Jiangkou County. Altitude : 660 m. Type specimens are deposited in the Deparment of Biological Science and Technology, Guizhou Normal University. Diagnosis : The length of ear is longer than 1/2 of hind foot, and the length of hind foot is shorter than 1/4 of body length. Nasal length exceeds 1/3 of occipitonasal length. The end of premaxilla upper ramification and the nasal bone are separated only by slender tongue like maxilla. Hair, grown in density and thickness, is hard and dark brown. Distribution : Jiangkou, Yinjiang, Songtao, Shiqian counties and Fanjingshan area of Guizhou Province.
