Waste fixing solution contains large amount of precious metal silver, the recovery of which can not only avoid environmental pollution but also save resources, yielding much economic value. This article describes several different methods of silver recovery, briefly discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the various methods and points out that the electrolytic method will be widely used for recovering silver from waste fixing solution.
