Application of Image Theory in Language Translation

语言表达式的意义并非只存在于它所描绘的实体或场景(situation)的内在特征之中,它还涉及我们选择思考这一实体或场景以及在心智上去描绘该实体或场景的方式。同一场景由于观察方式和角度不同,在大脑中形成的意象不同,从而产生不同的语言表达式。

The significance of linguistic expressions is not confined to its vision of a physical or the intrinsic characteristics of situation, it also involves entities or the mental picture of the entity or the scene mode on which we choose to reflect this scene . As the same scene can be observed in different ways , so the different images may be found in our brains, resulting in the different language expressions.
