铁路运输对沿线城市的发展造成了巨大影响。以鄂尔多斯市为例,从铁路运输的特点及优势分析入手,探讨了铁路运输在城市发展中的地位和作用。研究鄂尔多斯市经济社会发展以及铁路运输的基本情况,认为目前鄂尔多斯市铁路运输一定程度上影响了经济社会的长期快速发展。在此基础上分析预测鄂尔多斯市的铁路客货流量,并提出了鄂尔多斯铁路发展的初步规划。

Railway has made massive impact on the city development along the line. The article starts from the characteristics and advantages of railway transport to explore railway＇s role in the city＇s development by taking Erdos city as an example. The article researches on the basic situation of socio-economical development and railway transport of Erdos city, on the basis of which, the article continues to analyze the freight and passenger traffic volume and propose the preliminary planning of Erdos railway development.
