Application of Segmental Casing Cap in Scaling-up Converter

为完成1994年炼铜跨10万t的生产目标，对制约生产的3台转炉进行第二次增容改造是江西铜业公司贵溪冶炼厂在1993年末和1994年初的一项技改工程。文中介绍了改造过程中用转炉球缺封头替代碟形封头的原因及可行性，介绍了炉体安装的焊接工艺规范及过程。

In culer to achieve a target of over 100,000 t of copper set in 1994, the Guixi Smelter of Jiangxi Copper Corporation carried out the scaling up modification of three converters which constrained the production at end of 1993 and beginning of 1994. This paper describes reasons and feasibility of using segmental casing cap instead of dashed casing cap in the converter as well as welding criteria and procedure for furnace erection.
