Based on the analysis of the concept of citizen,the article further explores the connotaion and function of the consciousness of citizen.The writer thinks that the consciousness of citizen includes the consciousness of subject,the conciousness of right,the consciousness of responsibility,the consciousness of equality,the consciousness of participation and the spirit of rationality.Meanwhile,the consciousness of citizen plays an important role in the modern society.
