文章针对河南省及国内诸多高校英语专业基础阶段教育面临的一些共同问题,在实验、研究及调查的基础上,提出了解决问题的有效途径—英文原著阅读,并论证了这一途径对英语学习的重要作用。

There exist some common problems concerning the elementary education of English majors in most schools of higher education both in Henan province and all over the country. Against this background, this paper, based on the experiments, research and investigation, puts forward the key to these problems-reading novels of English version, and illustrates its significance on English majors.
