On the Differences of Connotation of Number Culture between China and the Western Countries

数字在中西方文化中扮演着重要角色,数字的使用几乎涉及生活的每个方面。文化的差异,导致人们对同一组数字赋予不同的情感和意义,产生不同的联想。本文从中西方对数字不同的传统观念,探讨中西方数字文化的内涵。

Number is widely used in every aspect and plays an important role whether it is in China or Western countries. Culture differences lead to different meanings, feelings and associations although these numbers are the same. This paper aims at different ideas of number in China and Western countries to explore its cultural connotations.
