The demand,supply,price for molybdenum in 1998 in the world were reviewed.The present research and development of new products and technics for molybdenum,such as low content alloy steel,stainless steels,tool steels,cast steel,cast iron,super alloys,catalysts,lubricants,pigment,corrosin inhibitors,molybdenum fertilizer and ceramics etc.were described particularly.
