摘要
自2008年"艳照门"以来,"××门"成为目前社会上最热的词语之一。"门"的新用法起源于"watergste(水门事件)",在使用过程中意义逐渐地泛化,适用范围逐渐地扩大,而贬义色彩一步步地减退、弱化。其频繁应用的原因既有语言学上的,也有社会学上的,其发展方向尚需时间检验。
“-gate”words have been becoming more and more popular since the famous event of “Yanzhao - gate” in the year of 2008. Starting with the discussion of the original meanings of the word “gate” and the origin of the affix “-gate”, we analyze the new features of “ -gate” phenomenon in the Chinese language, and also try to explore the reasons why “- gate” words could he so popular in such a short period of time.
