中国传统科技文化迟滞现象探因

A Discussion on the Reasons of the Stagnation of Science and Technology in Ancient China

中国古代科技成就辉煌,领先世界达千年之久。但近代科技革命未能在中国发生。省察历史的症结须从文化自身的特点与社会政治、经济和文化背景入手。中国古代科技具有直观经验性、实用性和整体性等特点,由此折射出的早熟与先天不足导致了中国近代科技的滞后。"大一统"的封建中央集权制及自给自足的小农经济,国人封闭保守、自我满足的文化心理,政治伦理型文化等也是造成中国传统科技文化滞后的重要原因。

The scientific and technological achievements in ancient China were distinguished. China onee took the lead of the world＇s science and technology for thousands of years, but scientific and technological revolution did not come to China. In order to reflect the crux of China＇s history, we need to analyse China＇s cultural features and its social, political, economical backgrounds, History teaches us a lesson that we shouht insist on the Scientific Outlook on Development of ＂ science and technology are the primar＇y productive force＂ and try to build China into a prosperous and strong country.
