摘要
《红楼梦》是我国文学史上的经典名著,其中的民俗描写贯穿全书、包罗万象。《红楼梦》的两个全译本对其中的民俗翻译不约而同地采用了直译方法,其目的除了要尽力保持原作的风貌,还要在完成语义交际的基础上,设置空白和未定性,召唤读者连接空缺、完成文本、理解和开掘文本的意义。从而一方面创造出超越读者"期待视野"的作品,另一方面使读者在建构文本的同时,提高审美能力、拓展期待视野。
A Dream of Red Mansions is a representative classic in Chinese literary history. In the novel,descriptions of Chinese folklore are all-embracing from beginning to end. Till now,there have been two full translations of A Dream of Red Mansions. The translators take the same action of translating Chinese folklore by adopting literal translation. Besides the preservation of styles and features of the original novel,the translators aim to call readers to link up gaps and complete the text through setting up gaps and indeterminacies on the basis of having realized semantical communication. Thus,the translators not only create works surpassing readers’ horizons of expectations but also make readers improve aesthetic abilities and develop their horizons of expectations.
