Tentative Study on Implications of Unearthened Gold Buckle Design in Xuzhou Shizishan Chu King's Mausoleum

阐释了徐州狮子山楚王墓金带扣的形制特点,通过与其他金带扣的比较分析,认为狮子山楚王墓金带扣"二兽食马"图案反映了中国"刑马盟誓"的文化传统,暗含西汉王朝"外刘氏而王者,天下其击之"的"刑白马盟"誓约.

A brief survey is given about the structure characteristics of the gold buckles unearthened in Shizishan Chu King s Mausoleum of Xuzhou.Based on comparisons of them with other gold buckles,this paper holds that the design of ＂two beasts eat a horse＂on the gold buckels in Shizishan Chu King s Mausoleum represents the ancient China s cultural tradition of taking an oath by executing the horse and implies the white horse-executed oath of alliance of the Western Han Dynasty：＂Who that is not Liu rules over the empire, be beaten under heaven. ＂
