On the Modernity of Ezra Pound's Imagism Poetry

庞德虽然从中国古典诗歌中汲取了重要的经验,但是,其诗歌更有着跟中国古典诗歌截然不同的现代性内涵。庞德诗歌跟中国古典诗歌有相近的技巧,但更有着其独特的现代性想象和深切的现代性焦虑。作为一个对诗歌现代性和无限可能性有着种种探索的诗人,庞德诗歌和中国古典诗歌的渊源关系并不能被简化地理解,也不能被简单地贴上意象派的标签。

The article explored the poetry of Ezra Pound and made a conclusion that： As the leader of the movement of imagism poetry, Ezra Pound learned a lot from Chinese classical poetry, however, the connotation of Ezra Pound＇ s poetry differ from Chinese classical poetry in modernity. Ezra Pound＇ s poetry has similar teachinque with Chinese poetry, but with unique imagination and deep anxiety of modernity. As a poet who groped for the modernity and diversity of poetry, Ezra Pound couldn＇ t be attached a label to imagism.
