Discussion on the Orientation and Countermeasures of Bicycle Traffic in Big Cities

近年来我国经济发展和城市化进程较快,人们的出行距离也随之增加,自行车在各大城市中的服务比重越来越低。本文针对目前我国大城市自行车的交通特性和存在问题,剖析自行车交通发展的机遇,探讨自行车交通在大城市交通中的定位和发展对策,并将其融入到整个城市综合交通体系中,挖掘和发挥自行车交通的优势和潜力,从而改善城市交通环境。

With the development of the economic and urbanization in our country, the residents＇ average journey distance increases, and the bicycle traffic become an unimportant part in city transportation. This paper firstly gives the bicycle traffic characters and its problems in the big cities, then points out the potential opportunities in transportation. Some measures about how to develop bicycle traffic in big cities, to bring bicycles into urban comprehensive traffic system, to develop the advantage and potential of bicycle for improving urban traffic environment were discussed.
