摘要
周作人作为五四时期重要的文艺理论家备受关注,然而后人在解读周氏理论的时候往往热衷于简单地划分前后期,一定程度上单一、表面化了周氏的艺术追求,而实际上周氏却有着其复杂、磅礴的理论体系,在各个时期的学术追求都不是单一的,而是"绅士/流氓"、"隐士/叛徒"、"今人/古人"的繁复纠葛;同时,在这种庞杂的学术体系中,周作人始终坚持注重"人"的发展这一基本学术关注点,并根据时代的变迁、文学追求的更替,随时调整文学与"人"的关系。
As an important literature theorist during the May 4th Movement of 1919, Zhou Zuoren has been put much attention on. However, studies usually classify his theory into two periods, the "former" and the "later", which simplifies his artistic pursuit. Actually, Zhou Zuoren's theory is complex and comprehen- sive, and is not unitary during his different periods. It is the sophistic combination of "gentleman/rogue", " recluse/traitor" and "present/past". At the same time, within his comprehensive academic system, Zhou Zuoren puts the basic academic concern of the "individuality" as his focus, and adjust the relationship be- tween literature and "individuality" according to the changes of times and literature pursuits.
