Objective To summarize emergency hygiene and disease control measures taken by Shifang Center Disease Control and Prevention after Wenchuan earthquake and to provide references for epidemic control and prevention in future.Methods The health and epidemic prevention system was established and every works were completed properly,such as detection and disinfection of drinking water,disinfection and deodorant of the environment,the monitoring and prevention focusing on disease;the promotion of the health and epidemic prevention.health education etc.Results Through these strict control measures,there were no infectious diseases and seismic-related public health emergencies happened in affected areas.Conclusion These integrated health prevention and control measures were timely,decisive and effective.It played an crucial contribution to protect the safety and health of people in the area and keep social stability,finish final earthquake relief work.
