酒窝是微笑及其它面部表情活动时，由颊部肌肉活动所产生的一种动态的生理性皮肤凹陷，这一生理现象可通过手术方法建立。然而，虽然手术方法众多，形成的酒窝却往往有悖于自然的酒窝。为了寻找一种更为满意的手术方法，我们根据酒窝形成的原理，在笑肌与皮肤之间形成一个自然粘连机会，达到酒窝形成的目的，还可通过调节组织清除量来设计酒窝的大小和形状。随访表明，该法效果确切、外形美观、创伤较小、操作简单。

Dimple is a kind of physiologic skin pit in dynamic state with actiom of buccinator muscle when smiling or facial expression muscle is in action. Now this physiologic dimple can be simulated by way of operation. Though there exists a lot of operating methods dealing with it, however, the resulted dimple with established methods years ago does not look so natural. To improve the dimple plastic operation, we've studied the physiological structure of the dimple, and come to a better operating method by making use of the natural adherence lying between risorius muscle and skin. Dimples resulting from this operating method look so natural, satisfactory and the following visits comfirm it. In short, the advantages of this new operating method lie in good-and natural-looking, less trauma, easy to learn and operate.
