Unbalance of the Demand and Supply Structure:A Brief Analysis on the Low Utilization of University Library's Foreign Language Books and Periodicals

从外文图书供求结构角度,对高校外文书刊利用率低的原因及解决途径进行了探讨。剖析了高校外文书刊的供求结构现状及制约因素,指出现有外文书刊供给结构与读者需求结构失衡是导致外文书刊利用率低下的根本原因,提出了平衡供求结构的途径。

From the angle of demand-supply structure,this paper explores the reasons and solutions for the low utilization rate of foreign language books and periodicals in university library,and analyzes the current situations of both demand structure and supply structures together with effecting factors,holding that the unbalance of the reader＇s demand structure and the library＇s supply structure is the roots for the low utilization rate. Based on this,the approach to the balance of the supply and demand structure is suggested.
