摘要如何使产妇清醒、无痛苦地迎接新生命的诞生，一直是人们所追求的目标。1992年美周妇产科学院分娩镇痛委员会就指出：“分娩导致许多妇女剧烈的痛苦，而这种痛楚往往被人们视为正常的过程而被忽略．因此．产妇剧烈阵痛的经历，理应引起人们对分娩镇痛的重视。”
