世界级城市群如波士华城市群已经是全球经济发展的重要力量。长三角城市群虽然是中国最大的城市群,但是与世界级城市群相比还有一定差距。其发展面临着协调制度及协议规划的约束力不够,交通设施存在重复配置,产业同构、同质竞争现象严重等问题。而长三角城市群GIS的建设可以为城市群管理或协调机构提供管理平台,为城市群城际交通及布局提供规划支持,为城市群产业分工和协作提供决策支持,为城市群可持续发展提供分析工具。美国城市群GIS的相关实践——MetroGIS对长三角城市群GIS的建设具有重要的借鉴意义。长三角城市群GIS的建设可成立GIS建设委员会,并在充分调动社会因素的基础上分阶段实施。

World- class Megalopolises like Bos-Wash have been a very important force in the whole world＇s economic development for a long time. Although Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis has become the largest one in China, there is still a certain distance to go before it catches up with Bos -Wash. The main problems include the unbinding of the coordination system and area planning agreements, redundancy construction of infrastructure, and the unnecessary competition inside the area. We can build Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis GIS to handle these problems, because it can provide a management platform for Yangtze River Delta area, and provide planning support, industry development decision support and sustainable development analysis support. The development of MetroGIS in America is of great significance to the building of Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis GIS. The building of Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis GIS can start from mobilizing social factors to implement the project step establishing a Construction Management Committee, and then step with a phased plan.
