《聊斋志异》中的"异史氏曰"素有"史笔"之称,基因遗传源远流长。这一特殊的叙事模式,艺术创新在于:叙事艺术日臻成熟,提升了文言小说的传统地位;叙事结构统驭连株体故事,拓展了小说的结构章法;记言模式上师承史传,开创了文言小说的新体例。缺陷与不足是:议论过半,喧宾夺主;封建说教,苍白平庸;偏离正文,松散结构。

The ＂YIshishi yue＂（＂What the historigrapher of another sort says＂） in Strange Stories from a Chinese Scholar＇s Studio has all the way been identified as the ＂historigrapher＇s style＂（shibi）,an element ever since time immemorial.The artistic innovation of this particular narrative model lies in the fact that,due to the more and more sophistication of narrative art,it has elevated the traditional status of novels written in ancient Chinese;that due to the control of the stringed stories by its narrative structure,it has broadened the movements of the novel＇s structure;that,due to its inheritance of the legacy of Historical Records,it has blazed a way for the new form of novels written in ancient Chinese.The flaws and shortcomings are that there more commentations,more pale and mediocre feudal rigid theorizing,than the plots,viz.the presumptuous guest has usurped the host＇s role.In a word,the stories are loosely interwoven because the quite few deviations from their respective themes.
