理想国里的两朵奇葩——评婴宁与英子

Two Flowers in the Xanadu——On Yingning and Yingzi

通过对比汪曾祺久负盛名的短篇小说《受戒》与蒲松龄《聊斋志异》的经典名篇《婴宁》,发现《受戒》中的英子宛如婴宁。她们均成长于理想的世外桃源,一样的年龄,一样的爱花爱笑、天真烂漫,在意中人面前都采取了积极主动的态度。作者在二人身上也都寄托了共同的人生理想。两个艺术形象的不同之处在于:婴宁是一个悲剧,体现了作者对封建礼教的批判;英子是一个喜剧,体现了作者对人性本真的乐观态度。

A comparison between Wang Zengqi＇s famous short story Ordained and Pu Songling＇ s classic story Yingning shows that Yingzi in Ordained is very like Yingning： of the same age, they both grow in the ideal Xanadu, have the same liking to laugh and flower, the same naivety, and are very active before their lovers. On them, the two authors both convey their common life ideal. Differences between the two characters are. Yingning, a tragedy, reflects the author＇s criticism of the feudal ethics while Yingzi, a comedy, reflects the author＇s positive attitude towards the purity of humanity.
