赛博技术的发展带来了技术的内化,导致了人们对身体的不确定性的关注。在以往关于技术与身体关系的经典表述中,身体通常被看做是技术的来源或场域。席林的"技术化的身体"强调技术和身体的相互作用,对技术与身体的关系进行了重新定位,认为技术对身体的影响主要表现为三种方式:身体取代、身体延伸/扩展以及身体的公共的/政治的变革。这一思想具有丰富深刻的理论蕴涵:回到身体,重视身体的实在性和一贯性;主张身体是社会建制的多维媒介;把肉身实在论作为身体、技术和社会的分析工具;在赛博空间与身体空间的互动中反思技术和人性。

With the development of cyber technology,the techniques and knowledge have moved inwards to lead to people s attention on the uncertainty of the body.In the classical theories about the relationship between technology and body,the body has usually been regarded as the source or location of the technology.Chris Shilling emphasizes the interaction of technology and body,gives the positioning of ＂technologized body＂,and identifies three main ways in which people are using technology to alter the current constraints associated with the body, which involves physical substitution, physical extension/enhancement, and the communal/political transformation of the body. There are profound meanings about Shilling＇s understanding of ＂technologized body＂; returning to the body, and giving more attention to the reality and consistency of the body; regarding body as the multi-dimensional medium for the constitution of society; taking the corporeal realism as the approach towards physical and social analysis; reflecting on technology and humanity in the interaction of cyber space and body space.
