Adapted from the Austrian novelist Stefan Zweig＇s novel of the same name,the film A letter from an Unknown Woman released in China has brought controversy.The gains and losses of the film adaptation have been debated endlessly.From the perspective of culture,the Chinese film adaptation of foreign novels is not just a simple controversy of copy and gains and losses,but the reproduction after the cultural collision.The film based on the respect for the original film,reconstructs the narrative time and space and narrative perspective,displaces the cultural subject and changes a Western classic novel into a Chinese-style video description.
