摘要
本文基于流体动力学和粒子系统给出了个模拟实时喷泉水流运动的方法.与以往通过求解流体动力学中复杂的Navier-Stokes方程来模拟水流的做法不同,本文通过求解该方程的一个特例和简单的粒子动力学方程.即可使用户在调整参数的同时实时观察到喷泉水流运动的变化.通过将元球作为粒子,采用基于BezierClipping的光线跟踪方法,得到了较为真实的喷泉水流视觉效果.该模型简单并可通过一些参数来控制,可很方便地结合到现有的动画系统中.
This paper presents a physically based approach for real time fountain simulation based on fluid dynamics and particle system. Unlike traditional method which need solve complex Navier Stokes equations, the authors adopt a special case of these equations and a simple dynamics equation of particles, the user can see the fountain flow changes in real time by adjusting some parameters.Metaballs are taken as particles and a ray tracing algorithm based on Bezier Clipping is adopted to obtain visually aesthetic fountain flow. The model is very simple and can be easily integrated into commercial 3D animation software systems.
