摘要
ACT考试始于1959年,是美国历史上除SAT外又一使用最为广泛、研究最为深入的大学入学考试,其评价结果已得到世界上知名学府的普遍认可。本文按照ACT考试内容的变化,将其发展过程分为三个阶段,第一阶段以重点考查学生所掌握的基本知识和技能而与一般能力考试SAT相区别;第二阶段加大了对学生计算能力、阅读能力的考查;第三阶段转向关注学生的主观表达能力,增设写作测试内容。指出ACT考试注重考查综合素质的趋势,对我国当前的高考内容改革的启示与借鉴。
ACT test, originated in 1959, is a kind of American College Entrance Exam that is used the most widely and studied most deeply except SAT.Nowadays, its results have been acknowledged by the most famous Universities in the world.According to changes in contents, the developing process of ACT can be derided into three phases. The first phase is to test the basic knowledge and skills in high school,while SAT is to test the general ability of students. The second one is to emphasise the computing capability and reading comprehension. While the last phrase attach importance to writing. It is possible that comprehensive quality in ACT is to be checked in the future, from which the reform in collge entrance exams contents in China can draw some lessons.
