The Internationalization Process of Secessionism

分裂主义的国际化有着多种表现形态。分裂主义的国际化进程包括横向扩展和垂直升级两个维度。一方面,一国内部的分裂主义通过向外部寻求支持、承认和进行跨国动员的方式横向扩散并向周边溢出;另一方面,介入国对其他国家内部分裂主义问题的干涉引发事发国与介入国之间的国际冲突、危机甚至战争,形成国际化的垂直升级。无论何种进程,分裂主义的国际化均对事发国的反分裂斗争造成了消极的影响和制约。

Secessionism can be internationalized in different ways.The internationalization process often involves two dimensions:horizontal expansion and vertical escalation.On one hand,domestic secessionism spreads horizontally and spills over to surrounding areas seeking external support,recognition and transnational mobilization;on the other hand,the intervention triggers international conflicts,crises or even war between the intervened countries and the intervening countries,which is the vertical escalation.Both dimensions had negative impacts and constraints on the anti-secessionist struggle of the country concerned.
