大学是人类文明传承和创造的重要场所。建筑是人类文明发展的外显形式和无声表达,既具生产、生活之功用目的,又是各个时代哲学、艺术、科技的结晶。基于同样的人文关怀和历史际遇,大学与建筑的话语体系共生共通。探讨大学与建筑的联系,在品味建筑意蕴、参悟大学之道的同时,思考当下大学发展,倡导"场所精神",应成为当前大学建设的重要话题。

University is an important arena for the creation and dissemination of civilization. Architecture is the visual expression and silent record of civilization, it not only meets the practical needs in survival and production, but also embodies in the human achievements of philosophy, arts and science at different historical stages. University and architecture, rooted in the same humanity and civilization, share some common discourse. To explore the relationship between university and architecture, to consider the development of the current university while tasting the meaning of architecture and understanding the idea of university, and to advocate the ＂ethos of architecture＂ should become the important topics in the current university construction.
