摘要
本文根据我国科学引文数据库的发展现状，提出建立中文生物医学引文数据库的必要性和可行性，并就建库的几个中心环节提出设想：包括来源文献的选择、数据组织、系统的主要功能和特点以及潜在的用途等。
Based on present condition of development and construction of Chinese Science Citation Database, the necessity and feasibility for constructing the Chinese Medical Science Citation Index Database (CMSCI)are discussed.
