摘要
本文以美国德州大学奥斯丁分校的地球科学系为例分析和总结了北美近年来地质教育的发展趋势与变化,主要包括课程体系安排,本科及研究生培养模式,教学方法等。并指出奥斯丁分校地球科学系的发展体现出了研究性、交叉性、互动性和系统性的特征。
The paper tries to summarize the development trend of higher education for geological sciences in North America by analyzing the example of University of Texas at Austin. We look at various aspects including curriculum arrangement,the cultivation models of both graduate and undergraduate students,teaching method,etc. Finally it comes to the conclusion that the development trend for Department of Geological Sciences,UT-Austin represents research-based,cross-cutting,interactive and systematic characteristics.
