摘要
Ramtron公司推出的VRS51L3074单片机拥有增强型算术单元,能够实现16位乘除法、乘加和移位等操作。本文分析了该单元的特性及使用要点,并给出利用该单元实现的2个实用算法——32位有符号整数开平方和16位二进制数转BCD码。实践表明,该单元可有效提高VRS51L3074处理复杂算术运算的效率。
The enhanced arithmetic unit in Ramtron's VRS51L3074 can execute such operations as 16-bit multiplication, division, multiply-accumulate and data shifting. The features and keys of the arithmetic unit are analyzed. Two practical algorithms, 32 bit signed integer square root and the conversion from 16 bit binary number to BCD codes, are also presented. The arithmetic unit can effectively improve VRS51L3074"s efficiency for complex arithmetic operations.
